2025 SMEMSS, February 8, 2025
Welcome to the first of our new SMEMSS series -- Santa Monica Even Month Second Saturday rallies. Beginning Feb. 8, 2025, on the second Saturday morning of even months (February, April, June and so on), Santa Monica Sports Car Club will offer a daytime RoadRally. Yes, daytime. It's amazing what you can see in the daylight! SMEMSS rallies are all SCCA Regional RoadRallies and scores on each event will be counted toward the Southern California RoadRally Championship.
SMEMSS rallies will start at the same place as the FFNs, behind the Bank of America at 10300 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345 (enter off Devonshire -- southeast corner of the Target plaza parking lot). In person registration will open at 9:00 am, first car out at 10:01 am. and they will take approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete. There is a beginner/Richta meeting at 9:40 am. All roads will be paved and public. Events will run rain or shine. These events are NOT a race. They are contests of precise driving and accurate navigation.
This rally uses the Richta GPS Competitor app for timing and scoring.. The maximum penalty this month is ?? seconds (? minutes) per checkpoint. The app is FREE and easy to use on any GPS-enabled smartphone. Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, or https://richtarally.com/. There is no need for additional timing equipment or clocks - your Official Time shows in the app!
