The Tire Rack SCCA Shootout series is your ticket to high-octane fun, where car culture meets adrenaline-packed competition.

Designed for drivers just like you who want to explore the performance potential of their build in one fast and fun event. This isn’t just about competing, however – it’s about the joy of driving, the sights and sounds of awesome cars, and the camaraderie of the car-loving community. Whether you’re dodging cones or swapping stories in the paddock, this event celebrates everything we love about cars.

• Saturday: It's all about the class competition! You'll get three runs in the morning and another three in the afternoon; your best overall time of the day is what you'll build on going into Day 2. 
• Sunday: It all comes down to the last few runs on the course Sunday morning! Secure your class win AND your spot in the Shootout. 
• Shootout: Once class competition is complete, it's on to the heart-pounding Shootout Competition! We're looking for the best of the Mild (Spec & ST) the Wild (CAM & XS) and the Compiled (Index classes)  - will you claim the final line in your Shootout bracket?

Scoring:
Your total score for the event is calculated by adding your top Saturday autocross run with your best Sunday morning autocross run.
For class competition and Series points, the driver in each class with the lowest combined time for the weekend takes the win.

Who’s Invited?

Shootout Classes:
Any car that would be eligible to run within the following SCCA Solo classes is invited to run in the Shootout:

• Street Touring (ST) 
• Classic American Muscle (CAM)
• Xtreme Street
• Club Spec Classes, including SSC
• Ladies Index Shootout Class (Cars running in Street Touring, CAM, Xtreme Street, Club Spec and SSC)

Index Classes:
Any car that would be eligible to run within the  SCCA Solo classes specifically detailed under each Index heading:

• Street Tire Index
  • All street class cars (AS, BS, CS, DS, ES, FS, GS or HS) will run together in this spirited face-off!
  • Choose the "S" class when you register, then choose your correct street Index Class
• Race Tire Index
  • All race tire cars will be indexed to find out who's the fastest in this Prepared and Modified showdown
  • Choose the "R" class when you register, then choose your correct race tire Index Class
• Ladies Index
  •  Ladies classes not competing in Spec (including SSC), XS, CAM or ST will be grouped together in the dynamic and competitive Ladies Index Class
  • Choose the "L" class when you register, then choose your correct Index Class

But Wait, There’s More…

For those who need that chase, and just can’t get enough of a good thing, each event is part of a six event championship series! The Tire Rack SCCA Shootout Series Champion for each class will be decided by taking each driver’s top four finishes from any of the seven events across the country. Will it be you? Are You Ready?

Whether you’re chasing lap times, fine-tuning your skills, or just enjoying the camaraderie of motorsport enthusiasts, the Tire Rack SCCA Shootout series has something for everyone. Are you ready to join the action?

SCCA Starting Line will be hosting a Starting Line Driver's Edge Experience at The Family Arena in St. Charles, MO in conjunction with the Tire Rack SCCA St. Louis Shootout. This weekend-long experience is geared toward those new to National Solo events. The SCCA Starting Line Driver’s Edge uses a team of successful autocross veterans who remember what it was like the first few times they pulled up to the starting line to make a run on the big stage of national-level competition.

In short, you’ll be given the tools and an explanation of the ins and outs of a Tire Rack SCCA Shootout Event, arming you with the information to conquer the event without the intimidation factor that comes from doing something new. Our coaches will walk you through the event information page, talk about run/work assignments, teach you how the grid works, what to do at impound, and the information available to you at the driver’s information center.

Most importantly, our championship-level coaches will help you throughout the weekend, checking in to help answer any questions that come up, touching base in grid before your run heat, and providing support and encouragement along the way. Think of them as your big brother or big sister for the weekend!

There is NO CHARGE to take part in the Starting Line Driver's Edge Experience. If you are a driver that is new to National Solo events, we encourage you to sign up and take part!
